culture! Beijing, as the political center now, is endowed with both
ancient and modern cultures; and Urumqi, a capital in the largest Uigur

chosen by the first Emperor of united China - Qin Shi Huang as the center
of the country; Lhasa, has been a dream of many people for the mysterious
people, its culture, arts, civilization and most importantly, its

Day by Day Itinerary
Departure: Daily

Day 01: Arrival in Beijing
Our guide will pick you up at Beijing airport and transfer to the hotel.
The rest of the day is on your own to explore the city.

Day 02: Beijing
Visit the Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven.
The Beijing Duck Dinner is served at the original, century-old Quan Ju De
restaurant followed by a lively Peking Opera performance at the Liyuan

Day 03: Beijing
Visit the Badaling Great Wall. To avoid having lunch at shopping site
restaurants, you will be driven to have Sichuan food at a local popular
restaurant. Visit the Sacred Way and the Ming Tomb in the afternoon. (B+L)

Day 04: Beijing - Urumqi
Visit the Summer Palace. Take flight to Urumqi and transfer to the hotel.

Day 05: Urumqi - Turpan
Drive to Turpan and transfer to the hotel. Visit the Jiaohe Ruins, the
Karez Well and the Sugong Pagoda. (B+L)

Day 06: Turpan - Dunhuang
Visit the Gaochang Ruins, the Baizikeli Thousand Buddha Cave and the
Flaming Hill. Take an overnight soft sleeper train to Dunhuang. (B+L+D)

Day 07: Dunhuang
Pick you up at the railway station and transfer to the hotel. You will
experience a short camel-riding along the Echoing-Sand Dune to reach the
Crescent Lake and visit the Mogao Grottoes. Breakfast is on your side. (L)

Day 08: Dunhuang - Xian
Take a flight to Xian and transfer to the hotel. Visit the City Wall.
After enjoying the a la carte lunch at a local famous restaurant, visit
the Provincial History Museum. (B+L)

Day 09: Xian
Visit the Terracotta Warriors Museum. To avoid having the poor food at
the site, you will take highway back to downtown to have lunch at a
well-known Cantonese cuisine restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the
Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the Great Mosque. After you enjoy the local
speciality, the Dumpling Banquet, you will be entertained with the
marvelous Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show. (B+L+D)

Day 10: Xian - Lhasa
Visit the Hanyangling Museum, the Mausoleum of Western Han Emperor Liu
Qi. You will then board the flight to Lhasa, of which the altitude is
3,600 meters above sea level. Transfer to the hotel. Acclimatize yourself
to the high altitude in the afternoon. Lunch is on your side. The a la
carte dinner will be arranged for you at a local best Sichuan cuisine

Day 11: Lhasa
Visit the magnificent Potala Palace. After a western-style lunch, visit
the Sera Monastery and the Norbulingka Park. Dinner is served at your

Day 12: Lhasa
Visit the Jokhang Temple and the thriving bazaar of the Barkhor Street.
After having a western-style lunch, go ahead to visit the Tibetan
Traditional Medicine Hospital, the Tibet Museum and the Carpet Factory.

Day 13: Lhasa - Gyangtse
Drive to Gyangtse and transfer to the hotel. Stop off at the Yamdrok
Yumtso Lake. Visit the Palkhor Monastery and the Gyangtse Old Street.

Day 14: Gyangtse - Shigatse
Drive to Shigatse and transfer to the hotel. Visit the Tashilunpo
Monastery and the New Palace of Panchen. Dinner is served at your hotel.

family. The farewell Dinner is served at Central Hotel, whose restaurant
Wang Bao He has a history of around 260 years and is the best place to
serve Shanghai Cuisine. The memorable dinner will be followed by the

Day 11: Guilin - Yangshuo
Enduring memories are created today as you cruise down the Li River to
Yangshuo. Transfer to the hotel. A short bicycle trip to the countryside
will then be arranged. You will visit a local villager's home to
experience the farmer's lifestyle there. Alternatively, you can take our
electric car instead of taking bicycles. (Tips: Since the lunch on the Li
River cruise can not meet your expectation, TCG suggests that you have
enough breakfast at the hotel today.) (B+L)

Yangshuo rural scenery
Day 12: Yangshuo - Guilin - Hongkong
Morning is free. Transfer to Guilin airport. Take an afternoon flight to
Hongkong and transfer to the hotel. (B+L)

Day 13: Hongkong
In the morning, have a half-day Hongkong Island Tour. Peak tram ride to
mid-level of Central District then to the Victoria Peak, visit the
Repulse Bay, Aberdeen, Stanley Market. After lunch, transfer to Pier for
taking Star Ferry to Kowloon side, walk along the waterfront promenade
back to Hotel. Afternoon is free. (B+L)
